Pros

Alkegen offered me a role selling some of their very wide product range, I was familiar with the markets but needed to learn the products, Alkegen immediately invested time and money in getting me face to face with the in-house experts to bring me up to speed. Additionally my many new colleagues have been both welcoming and helpful in getting me on board. I feel from my colleagues that my role is absolutely vital and they have shown this by the assistance given in the last few weeks, I will also strive to help them and add value to the company.

Cons

Too many names to learn :-)

Pros

Can’t think of any- colleagues are nice

Cons

In the post pandemic era and as we’re moving into working back at the office there was a comment from everyone at the top saying “no one will be treated differently if they’re not vaccinated. You will still be allowed to come into the office but you will have to wear a mask everywhere and all the time. Vaccinated colleagues will not need to mask up”. How is that not singling people out! I’m vaccinated and find that policy disgusting and non inclusive.

Pros

Flexibility from manager and some smart colleagues

Cons

Where do I start? False promises on what a role would be. Furloughs for 9 months after which they buy a company with a lot of cash and make a lot of people redundant. No care or respect for employees. You could excuse this if the operations were efficient. They are not. Within 2 weeks of starting I saw how disjointed my division was. I decided to stay for a few years and then saw I was wasting my time. I have no achievements to show for those five years. I am now in an employer where I am valued and my potential is fulfilled.
