      - Challenging environment - Always learning something new

      Cons

      - Worst culture by far (some don't even acknowledge your presence as you walk past them saying hi). This is the reason I was in and out before 1 year. - Micro-management (coming to your desk repeatedly since day one every hour saying is this done, is that done) - They STEAL money from you. Use your vacation time before you leave this shady company. - HR is a total pain to deal with and very unprofessional. - Lack of recognition/importance for your work - 80% of people that I worked with at the time are no longer at the company and every new hire that was hired around my time left before 1 year for the reasons mentioned. They felt the same way.

      Commute can be rough. Senior management needs to come down into the trenches to understand their employees. Hiring out of desperation will only make things more difficult within the department. Work is very monotonous.

      Pros

      Most of the people who work here are genuinely concerned that patients get the best medicine technology and science have to offer. Their compensation package is competitive, healthcare benefits are comprehensive and there are fabulous retirement planning opportunities.

      Cons

      Rapid change, and high level/mid level leadership are leaving the organization which is concerning. The vivitrol rollout to the CNS team was chaotic. It interrupted momentum for TBM’s, especially the 50 new people hired in the last few months. The Hospital Business leader is atrocious and disrespectful of anyone he perceives to be ‘beneath’ him. He has no CNS experience coming into his role with Alkermes and it is painfully evident. His disregard for respect and collaboration have rubbed off on the people he hires who are equally difficult to work with. It’s unfortunate because I’ve seen collaborative relationships thrive between hospital/account reps and their territory manager counterparts at other companies, and everyone wins when it’s working, especially patients!
