I started here over 5 years ago and thought this place was pretty awesome. They had projected that our product would be highly in demand and that they were going to build a campus and blah blah blah. That did not happen. Over the course of time, things change, and the changes that occurred here were not positive. First, that huge demand for one of our products, Vivitrol, never came. They did, however, build a new bulk line that is just sitting there collecting dust. So with that demand not showing up, they had to lay off some folks. One huge decision that they made was that the current GM at the time could be cut lose. Ever since that time, this place has gone down hill. Secondly, the front line management here is third rate. I don’t know where they get these folks from but most of them are pretty useless. Speaking of management, the majority of the folks question the higher ups. There seems to be little to no direction of the company, which is sad because this place does have potential. Third, the support groups don’t support. I believe people have lost the idea that we work in a manufacturing facility. Our QA on the afternoon shift is rock solid but thats as far as i can go. Our IT dept doesn’t like to be bothered, and if you call after hours, consider yourself lucky if they pick up, same for Automation, and some of the maintenance guys. Fourth, and this might be the most important. The location here blows. It is in the middle of nowhere in Wilmington Ohio. There are people who drive from Columbus, Ohio to here and thats just nuts. The majority of the workforce here has at least 30-45 minute commute unless they live right in town.
