DON'T WORK HERE UNLESS YOU'RE TRULY DESPERATE
Pros
Free drinks/coffee Nice people They hire pretty much anyone, because so many people quit
Cons
THIS JOB IS AWFUL. NOT A JOB YOU WANT LONG TERM. Only work here if you are truly desperate to TEMPORARILY change your current situation. If you can stick it out a while longer while you look for a real job, then don't waste one second here! It won't be worth your time AT ALL. -$13.50 an hour with ZERO hope for a raise. A raise will come when you are converted from a temp to a full time employee, which probably won't ever happen. They say minimum 6 months for that to happen, but there are plenty of people there who have been there over a year and still a lowly temp. When asked if they had any idea when temps would be converted to full time, management basically only said "I don't know." -Boring, meaningless work. You'll take 40-50 calls per day and tell customers what posted to their credit file. It can get busy and calls are waiting in queue and you'll have to take a new one as soon as you hang up back to back to back. When its not busy, all you can do is waste your life surfing the web. -When you start, you're forced onto the 11:30-8pm shift. If your stats are good enough after 3 months, you MIGHT be able to switch to 8-4pm or 10-6:30pm depending on your rank compared to everyone else. If your stats aren't that good, say hello to another 3 months leaving at 8pm. - Supervisors will force you to train for new roles/responsibilities when they want you to. They do not even ask if you want to take on new roles. Then they act like its a good thing. "Congratulations, now you can do more work for the same amount of pay!" -No benefits until 6 months. When you make it 6 months, you still pay some for health insurance. -They give you a parking spot/garage downtown after 2 months or so, but it will be 2-3 blocks away from the office.
