Pros

Interesting science, nice to work at a mission-driven organization

Cons

None of the managers have any managerial training - they are all scientists. Terrible career development. Research Associates are treated like lower class compared to scientists (even though they do most of the work). Work here if you want you want to be degraded and your opinion to be undervalued.

Pros

Great place to work for the most part. Good people. Good benefits. Good science.

Cons

Higher education is valued, which is fine, but there is very little support for attaining it.

Pros

Fulfilling mission. Dependable work even in uncertain times.

Cons

Organizational structure is confusing and feels like it is based on politics.
