Pros

Powerful mission, led by an inspirational leader who is widely respected in the field. Extremely high hiring bar - Top notch people across the board. Startup environment,with strong financial backing. Unique blend of research and engineering. People are always encouraged to focus on impact. Coworkers are very friendly, respectful and always willing to help out. Lots of opportunities to learn through weekly tech talks. Administrative operations team is very proactive and always looking for ways to support employees. Fully stocked kitchen and great Wednesday lunches. Beautiful location. Gym membership reimbursement is awesome.

Cons

If I had to really mention something here, For folks coming from large technology companies, some of the support functions such as leave management may feel immature but the team is continuously improving it.

An environment where you are challenged and free to produce high-impact work Very good work life balance Employees care tremendously about the mission Great team orientation - no infighting. Very friendly.

Cons

In Fremont near gasworks. Not always the easiest place to get to. But, amazing offices.

I find work here fun, challenging, and exciting. The work includes NLP to Machine Learning, and AI.

Pros

I love AI2 for how it mixes hard work and play (yes, ping pong table & kayaks) but also how it mixes world-class engineering with top notch research. I work shoulder to shoulder with some really, really brilliant people!

Cons

This is still a small place with a startup feel to it at times, but we are getting more organized and hiring quickly.
