Pros

AI2 provides an excellent balance between a research institute and a dynamic start-up that pushes the boundaries of cutting edge tech. The work environment is very collaborative and management genuinely cares about employee happiness and career development. I love that I'm continuously challenged and always learning!

Cons

Individual projects sometimes appear silo'd although there are plenty of opportunities to share knowledge.

A mixture of top-tier researchers and engineers working on difficult problems to benefit mankind. What else do you want? Collaborative environment, concrete goals, and cutting-edge technology.

Cons

Make sure it aligns with your career goals. Not an entrepreneurial endeavor, and opportunities to rise in management are limited. The different project groups are quite separated, so if you want to try something new but stay within the company, it will require some patience.
