Pros

This is a very unprofessional company. They treat their employees very unfairly. If the administration does not like you they will blantly defame your character. The administration will block your professional growth based on race and gender. The company has no cameras but will allow other staff to make accusations against their co workers with no sufficient evidence in any instance.

Cons

Allendale has a culture of lieing and not helping kid but their pockets . They house kids and do not provide sufficient care as there is a high turn over rate of employees.

Pros

Clinical Team is invested in providing and creating evidence based treatments.

Cons

With new changes to clinical approach and lack of clinical understanding, many employees do not find value in the implementation of the clinical treatment making positive change difficult.

Pros

The agency has limitless opportunities for over-time, so you can work as much as you want. They also allow residential employees to work in the educational services at the school in an equivalent position, so you can work day time hours as well. The benefits are well taken care of, but the premiums have gone up.

Cons

You are at the mercy of DCFS as well as the clients. Depending on who you know, and how essential you are to the program, if a client lies about something you have "done", you may or may not be let go with no evidence of misbehavior. It is also a very "watch your own back" type of environment. It all depends on who you are close with and who you know. The agency has many flaws, as all residential treatment facilities do, so it's hard to say whether they are any better than any other agency. The biggest problem I have noticed overall is that employees are not compensated for the amount of stress and work that they have to deal with. The pay is the biggest con for this agency.
