      Pros

      Good learning experience for clinicians fresh out of graduate school. Does create a good understanding of trauma informed care.

      Cons

      High stress and long hours. No pay incentive to receive LPC status. Education rigidly adheres to the model the agency employs.

      Amazing experience for future mental health professionals!

      Pros

      -participation in clinical meetings -training in therapeutic interventions -working with clients (while difficult at times) is very rewarding -this is a great place to start if you are considering earning a grad degree to enter the mental health field. My experience at Allendale helped me decide what route to take professionally.

      Cons

      -communication within the organization is often unclear or disorganized -understaffed, you may be asked to work overtime but the OT pay is great! -dangerous situations can and do arise with client’s behavior
