The Worst Company Ever

Where do I start? The leadership is unethical. This place is like being in high school all over again. It has the "in crowd" and the "out club". People are rewarded and promoted based on kissing up. It is not at all based on qualifications and skills. You can be the worst person in the group and get promoted if you brown nose to the right upper management. It is downright wrong. I have never experienced any company where this is rampant in every department. How can they get away with this? They are a regulated monopoly. Basically not the real world. I would stay clear of this place with a 100 ft pole.

Plenty of parking at the HQ building...even under solar panels

I joined just a few months ago and I realized now that I should have listened to the reviews and my gut. I accepted the job because the interviewers told me how amazing it is to work at Alliant Energy. I was given the bait and switch. This is the worst company I have worked at in my life. Management is a joke. My coworkers are worthless. The industry is consolidating. Management will not listen to its employees. Rather this feels like high school all over again. I need to get out of this place. The people were sooo untruthful in my interview. How can people lie so badly to candidates?

Just one - i cannot come up with even one

Cons

Management has run this place into the ground. People are leaving either by their own volition or being downsized/transformed. Management cannot be trusted. Watch your back. This place is toxic. Just beware in case you want to join this place. The salary is not worth the pain
