Pros

Many preexisting connections that can be leveraged to spark an initial conversation. Market leader with some products and definitely uncompromising quality as it relates to the dogs.

Cons

Strategy seems to be too reactive and not aligned among business units. Prematurely go to market with additional products without a clear vision, focus, or tools.

Pros

Only if you have a connection to someone in upper management, do you stand a chance of getting promoted. And that is not a "pro".

Cons

This is not a fair or healthy environment to work in, especially if you're expecting equal, unbiased treatment. Do not anticipate that your ideas and contributions will be valued or acknowledged. As mid-management or head of a department/division, prepare to be treated an non-essential; bullied, ignored and excluded from meetings and emails unless you have a personal connection or history with the CEO or a relationship with a client.
