      Pros

      Fun place to work - loved working with patients. Loved my job. It was rewarding to work there as far as patient care.

      Cons

      Was like high school unfortunately. If you weren't popular you didn't last long. I had a family member who was there and she was very popular so I was able to stay. As soon as she quit I started getting harassed.

      Pros

      Awesome coworkers, good benefits, decent pay, no experience necessary to get your foot in the door in many departments. Easy to get in if you know someone.

      Cons

      Constant schedule changes, high turnover, little training, outdated/broken equipment, difficult to transfer between departments due to training differences. Little opportunities for growth. Some employees were "grandfathered" in when Allina merged with other hospitals and do a lot less work, for a lot more pay with in the same department and their jobs are safe while the rest of us are worried about being layed off.

      Pros

      The work is very challenging and I'm surrounded by and get to work with some of the most intelligence and compassionate people I've ever met in my life. Evaluated based on outcomes and results (which is how it should be). Allina walks the talk when it comes to encouraging employees to be healthy and offers multiple programs and opportunities to do so.

      Cons

      More work here than can be addressed. Allina needs to continue to figure out how to prioritzie and say no to some things. Without a clinical background, I feel my career advancement opportunities are limited.
