      Pros

      There are some really great people at Allina, the benefits are decent, there are good team building/volunteer events, good opportunities for advancement.

      Cons

      Poor safety and quality department leadership, unethical department leadership behavior, unhealthy power dynamics, big egos, low psychological safety, poor employee retention, etc. The best advice I can give to anyone reading this is find another department within Allina to work in under leadership that has good ethics and values and demonstrates pride in doing the right thing for employees and patients.

      The staffing ratios, teaching young nurses that beyond giving meds and dressing changes don’t do literally anything else, upper management, the pay scale among different allina hospitals is drastically different leading to a pay cut of almost 4.00 if I was to take a new job in a different city, the extremely strict dress code and not being able to wear a different colored jacket( I.e black) over my scrubs, nurses that aren’t providers wearing white coats is also strange

      Good benefits, great people to work along side of you, who have a passion for patient care.

      Cons

      Overhauled the pay scale and now all new hires get a lo-ball salary compared to 5 years ago. Also, they started to micro-manage caring more about quantity over quality.
