Pros

Flexible scheduling, good policies on sick pay hours, good hours with open availability

Cons

Very unstable with site assignments you could be assigned somewhere and have plenty of hours and then none the next with no explanation, supervisors and management are unhelpful and you only hear from them when you break company policies. You tend to be treated poorly if you work in the LBUSD schools, favoritism is defintely played. You feel like you're alone in this job while you're being treated like a child and unfairly sometimes. Training is subpar and no one seems to know what they're doing at times.

Pros

Most of the supervisors are very nice and able to give advice. If you end up with a good school placement you will learn about using effective behavior therapy.

Cons

They pay very little for the job we do. The training is not comprehensive. Management treats you like a child. If you work in the school you can end up being treated very poorly. Different supervisors on every case. No connection to management except for when they need to warn us about some kind of action against policy. They will keep you at part-time.

Pros

Medical benefits if you work full-time, 30 hours a week guaranteed if you work at the LBUSD school site, no client cancellations if you're in the SUCSESS classroom, 2 hrs of base rate pay for last minute client cancellations if you agree to do office work instead, drive time and mileage

Cons

Depending on your supervisor you get overworked or get recycled to be out on their most difficult cases, not a lot of summer hours when school site is out, not a lot of opportunity to sub, difficult to pick up extra hours, minimum wage for meetings, trainings, etc., you really have to have connections if you want to get promoted, families are notified of case transitions last minute and makes families very upset
