Pros

They dont bother you to much Medical and dental benefits are okay and not bad

Cons

The home office fails to do there job, which can screw with you. Instead of pay raises or keeping with inflation they spend the money on PR teams so they can be "Best employer award" or they spend the money on parties and private jet flights on home office staff and c suite. Dont expect a raise dont expect them to care.

Pros

1. Free insurance if you are single

Cons

1. Company does not care about you as a contractor. It wasn't until my 2-week notice did my PM ask me what team I was on. How can they determine my compensation if it took them over a year to find out what my position/role was. 2. Need assistance for Human Resources? I have an ongoing issue that was raised over a year ago. The issue was brought back up 2 months ago. Now I have an email chain between me and HR. About a dozen emails sent to them, with no real updates. PM and CEO are both cc'd. In order to receive any information, I had to start calling the HR department. 3. Medical leave/issues? Good luck coming back. A coworker of mine had cancer, he left on medical leave. I find out later that because AOI failed to communicate with the Prime contractor, this employee was denied from returning after beating cancer. 4. Understaffed team or project? Over the 2 years that AOI has been a subcontractor for this project, I have never seen them fill a position. I've been missing a deputy manager for a year, as well as an imaging person (see 3 for coworker with cancer). 5. AOI has a noncompete in their handbook that will raise issues if any other company on the contract attempts to hire you. My deputy manager left because he was unable to transition over to the Prime contractor. I was told by the Prime that I am in the same boat. The Prime would have to deal with the noncompete.

Pros

Free lunches at headquarters but only a few work there.

Cons

Most overbearing, repetitious reporting and meeting requirements...redundant. Employees are required to keep a catalog on customers and to learn everything about their professional and personal lives, enabling them to find uncomfortable ways of befriending them. It's like working in a fish bowl with no ability to take initiatives without multiple approvals.
