Pros

None, if there were any the cosmos by eating woildnt be tanking.

Cons

My team when from 17 individuals in the US to 6 in the span of 3 months because of how much we all hated the job and how little management seemed to respect Client Protection leading to a sudden mass quit spree. I’d never recommend someone work here

Pros

- Young workforce/the company usually hires people that are dope to work with (aka 'the people are great') - Frontline exposure to diverse industries - you learn a lot about how the world works - Fast-paced; not a pro for me but a pro for many others - you learn to be quick and efficient in your daily workflow - Company genuinely tries to be fun and engage its employees - Emphasis on employee career growth - either get promoted or make a calculated move into another company

Cons

- Exploitative of recent grads' energy and ambition with the unspoken expectation that most associates will burn out way before thinking of promotion to manager - They never say this outright during the interview process but official working hours are 8am-6pm, aka 45 hrs/week (not including random after-hours work that is demanded of you) - Micromanaging is the company's modus operandi - not a single day's work goes unscrutinized by your team leads/manager - Toxically positive culture in order to drown out/suppress worker grievances - Salary + incentive bonus (which less people hit than you'd think) is not enough for healthy, independent living in SF or NY - many employees are at least in part bankrolled by their parents to supplement this - Glorified outbound call center - If you aren't genuinely into 'rise and grind' culture, stay away

We're glad to hear about the many aspects of the role you enjoyed and appreciate your feedback on how we can improve. We recently updated our marketing materials, ensuring we present the associate role authentically, and are very upfront that this is not a 9-5. Associate work schedules follow clients' needs, as being good at client service means responding when your clients need you. All our associates have a unique opportunity to work, learn, and grow alongside ambitious peers if they're up to the challenge. - The AlphaSights Team
