Pros

AlphaSights is a wonderful foundation for your career. First and foremost, you learn so much about various industries from not only the basic duties of the job, but also from the individuals you communicate with on a daily basis. From this, one can understand what type of industry or company they want their future to be in, whether that is with AlphaSights or in a different sector. The best part of AlphaSights is that it supports your individual future. Management will do everything in its power to support you internally and externally. They are open to giving you freedom to build new units within the company and supporting you in your next career moves. Additionally, this company is packed with very intelligent and hard working people, that you can learn from and also be friends with! Lastly, AlphaSights is culturally diverse and you develop a better understanding of yourself and others by working here.

Cons

The job is very results driven. If you enjoy competition, networking, and sales, this is a good fit.

Pros

One of the steepest learning curves imaginable. I joined the company as an entry level employee and have worked as an individual executor & team lead in our New York office, and now Manager in our Hong Kong office. Personally, I love the company because I receive new challenges every day and the opportunity to very quickly develop the ability to transform oneself from just being an individual executor and commercial contributor towards developing and driving that ability in others. Overall very rewarding how much emphasis the company puts on development and teaching aspiring leaders how to develop other employees. I also like to think we are about as close to a meritocracy as you can get in the corporate world. Lastly, the people here inspire me and my wife and I agree that, regardless of who we meet at AlphaSights, they are generally interesting and fun people.

Cons

This job is for competitive and highly ambitious people who can often times see the bigger picture rather than just having to be given a carrot every day. Many things discussed, including the meritocratic nature and ability to execute and lead quickly can be amazing for some people, not so great for others who prefer a more discrete, anonymous and impersonal experience you can get at large corporations.
