Employees are unappreciated. PTO is a nightmare and impossible to get days off even requesting it months before! You can have your wedding and honeymoon planned and still won’t know if it’s approved until a couple weeks before. We recently got a new system for PTO so hopefully this works out!
We can’t place patients on hold even though they ask for first call resolution. If you place a patient on hold you are asked to send a message to the Dr and his team even though there are 3 unanswered message in that same week. (Messages are supposed to be answered within 24-48 hrs) Many messages aren’t followed up or read so patients keep calling back. But if you resolve it on the first call and place them on hold if needed maybe they won’t call back!!
Not at all flexible with schedules. In the interview you are told they are flexible and will work with your school schedule... well that’s a lie. The Call center is unappreciated not just by management but by many departments throughout the company. We deal closely with the clinic and all day long we are talked down upon and treated rudely.
At first I thought this was a great company to work for. Now I see it’s really not. Some supervisors at the call center are really cool, treat you with respect and are super friendly. Others not so much. They’ll have their bad days and take it out on you, they’ll give you a hard time and pass your desk OFTEN and micromanage you even though you’ve been working here for years and know what to do. Some supervisors weren’t hired within the company and don’t know anything about the calls we deal with daily. Most, if not ALL, representatives know more than some of these supervisors. How are we going to ask a supervisor to handle an escalated call when they don’t even know the work?
I’m currently looking for a new place of work. The only thing I’ll miss here are really just my coworkers.
