Pros

The people at my store and girls I met in the company were truly amazing people. My DM was extremely dedicated to her role and had an even worse work life balance than me. She was very involved and dedicated and would help with the work load during visits, which were often.

Cons

Where to start. The work life balance is non existant. Expect to pull 55 hour work weeks regularly. I did three 60 hr weeks in row. An 18 hour shift overnight to set a semi annual sale, want home and slept for 3 hrs. Then returned at 5pm to set a window until 3am. Back home to work a 10 hour day in the morning followed by 2 more 60 hr work weeks. You are told you are salary and the expectation is that you stay until it is done. I had 5 managers below me, 2 of which were salary and my hours never changed. Very little respect from corporate employees at store visits which you will stay all night prepping for and the ceo may not even show up. I have never Bern treated with such disrespect from corporate employees in my career of 15 years. They say they are christian and they do give back money to charity bur it is 1 percent of brand name items. The mark up is ridiculous. Mission Monday is on a day that is the least profitable in retail. If you are going to claim faith based you need to interact with your employees who are the foundation of your business with respect. I went to bed in tears almost every night. My days off were spent sleeping because of exhaustion. I wasn't even employed during holiday and these were my hours and experience. The training is a joke and the expectations are unrealistic. Your payroll us not based on business. You could double your day and your hours don't change. Hours are fixed. Not enough payroll for lengthy tasks because salary managers expected to make up the difference. 20 hours for shipment whether you get 5 boxes or 80 boxes and expect a 24 turn of completion with a store jam packed with merchandise and no where to put new merch. I can't say enough about the negative experience I had with this company. The reviews are true. Take them honestly because working for this company was one of the worst professional experiences I have had thus far. I was so grateful when I was offered another job and was able to resign.

Pros

I loved the team that I was able to build. I also really loved our customers, and the relationships that we built with them.

Cons

You have no work life balance. You also are expected to give everything to this "Christian" company. You work 60+ hours. When I worked there, the stores were closed on Sundays. At company meetings, we were told repeatedly how the stores would "Never be open on Sunday's, no bones about it!". Now- they stores are open on Sundays "to meet the customers needs". The CEO using ultimatums to manage. He is a bully, not only to his home office team, but to all store employees. This company not only asks you to give up your time, but also your own ideas and opinions.

Pros

50% Discount on clothes, but the clothes are so cheaply made it was money down the drain.

Cons

Paid as a part time employee. Worked full time hours. Accruing any sort of time off was a joke. And then they dropped everyone’s pay! Worst company I have ever worked for. They hide behind this “Stand Out for Good” motto, but can’t treat their employees well. Waiting for a documentary about this company to come out.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We understand how the decision to make adjustments in pay may have affected you. We believe that was the best decision in comparison to eliminating roles entirely.
