Pros

40% off of apparel, 20% off of home accessories Fellow Associates were kind Kind customers

Cons

Say goodbye to and social life or free time. Call-in shifts will make it impossible for you to plan anything, you are expected to call in an hour before your shifts. Horrible hours, you can be working 30 hours one week and 4 hours the next Ludicrous Closing hours, if you close expect to be there 3 hours after closing Display and floor set has crazy hours and expectations, You get there at 3am and will leave around 12pm or 1pm. Managers where all horrible, they either talk down to you and baby you or are rude and unhelpful I cried several times because of managers being insanely rude. One incident was i had asked off weeks in advance because my brother was coming to visit from Afghanistan and was still scheduled, I called to say I wasn't coming in and was verbally abused by a manger. I will never even shop at Altard State again. Every time I would verbalize my struggles with a manager to our Store Manager she would just shrug it of as "oh shes just funny like that" So much for being a christian store.

Pros

Giving back to the community even if you don't know it Great discount World class experience Not open on Thanksgiving

Cons

They will take advantage of you The store I worked in did not spread the grace of God, or even act Godly which is sad considering the Altard State mission statement is "stand out for good" and have a christian back ground. To many clothes in the store, you will feel crowded

Thank you for your note. While we are very appreciative of your review, I want to ensure that you know that we are a give back and faith based organization, however we accept people of all faiths, lifestyles, and beliefs. Standing out for good is less about spreading the grace of God in words and more about our actions - our give back, support of local and global families and communities, investment and growth of our associates, and leaving our guests feeling inspired and beautiful. It is unfortunate that you did not take advantage of the Company's Open Door policy so that we could clarify the Company's mission and address any of your concerns. We do wish you much luck and success in the future!
