      Has a great mission statement. Fun environment to work in. Good pay rate. Friendly staff

      Cons

      Not enough hours, the most hours a key holder may work is 30 hours on a good week. Not enough full-time opportunities

      Pros

      They are a give-back company and they truly value your employees. In the year that I have worked there, they have also been adamant about rewarding employees for positive progress.

      Cons

      The store has a mandatory two-hour close. Therefore, even if you've already straightened and cleaned the whole store, you might be left with some down time and nothing to do.

      Pros

      Altar'd State is a great first job in retail. They hold themselves at a higher standard requiring a lot of intake on new knowledge about retail. It is a Christian based clothing store and they prove to be just that everyday. Not only do they give back through a percentage of their money but with their actions towards customers. They approach shoppers with a smile and make them feel so special in the store. They are big on how they represent themselves so the pros are endless with this company.

      Cons

      The only con about this store, for me and some others, was the location. Altar'd State is usually in a mall. The store I worked at was located in Austin at the Domain. The drive was pretty long but I thought it was totally worth it.
