Pros

I met some really sweet girls. Good discount at 40%. Started off ok until management changed. Will address that later.

Cons

First off I'm going to address the big elephant in the room here... These reviews giving this place 5 (or even 4 for that matter) are clearly written by corporate employees to try and keep it at least a 2 star rating. There is not a snowball's chance in hell someone who actually worked in the stores would say things like "Best retail company..." or "Great place to grow...". If by chance I'm wrong than that person needs a mental institution and serious meds... I took this on as a second part time job. I work an office job 40 hours a week and wanted a little extra cash. I was offered a position as stock basically just unpacking boxes, hanging up clothes, sizing them, steaming if needed. I was told I would get 3 5 hour shifts during the week for a total of 15 hours. Great! Soon after management changes that went to just 10, then just 5, there was a week I didn't get any hours at all! I then noticed that my stock hours were given to someone else to work during the day, not cool, especially since the reason I was told I didn't get any hours was because she didn't have them to give and she couldn't go over payroll. I'm not the only one this happened to! Some of the girls this is their only source of income so that was not at all fair! I was also told that the manager wanted to get some guys to do stock... Ummm replace someone who has been working here for over 6mos without ANY reason because you'd rather have a man do it... There's a word for that... The company as a whole is the most disorganized retail store I have ever worked at! This coming from someone who has a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising and over 10 years experience in retail from everything from stock girl to store manager. The tasks, amount of shipment (why we need the exact same shirt in 'coral' and 'dusty coral' you couldn't even tell the flipping difference in the color is beyond me - true story), markdowns, floor moves, etc is wayyy to much! People get worn down! The clothes aren't well made either. I saw a top I LIKED and it was like $70. Saw one very similar at Marshall's for like $17. The discount doesn't do much considering how expensive the clothes are! The company prides themselves on being a 'Christian' company. Oh please! I know for a fact that my manager talked badly about me to other girls. I tried to be friendly to her, I would talk to her about boyfriends, wine, movies, etc and then I found that out! I'm a 36 year old woman and she's older than me and talking behind my back like a 16 year old girl in high school! If a Christian company is what you want to work for may I suggest Chik-fil-A? Scrubbing grease pans from French fries and taking food orders sounds like heaven compared to this hell! And guess what else... You will have Sunday's off! Something this company took off the table.

Pros

It's a Christian company that does a lot of giving back to the community.

Cons

They over work and under pay their employees and there is no consistency in their training. They do not show their employees that they are valued.
