Pros

There are only a few pros about this shop and that would be the girls that I had the opportunity to work with (associates) and the customers who came in. Other than that there wouldn't be any other pros. The associates are amazingly nice and easy to train/teach. The customers were as sweet as cherry pie and I loved being able to talk to them.

Cons

Honestly, everything else about this company would be a con. They work us (the management team) like dogs. I was a keyholder and got paid 9.00$ an hour, which may seem like a decent amount, but considering all the work the DM and the CEO wanted to get done, it was not enough. Many nights were spent until 2 or 3 in the morning doing refreshers (aka taking all the clothes off the wall and rearranging them). This company is unorganized and sends way more shipment than the store itself can handle. The CEO nitpicks over the littlest things and yells at the associates straight to their face, unrealistic sales goals for the associates and for the day. It just was a horrible and toxic environment and for all the girls who are looking for a great "christian company/and or atmosphere" do not work here. It will suck the life out of you and drive you to the hospital or just plan crazy.

Pros

Great learning experience at first; laid back work environment; great coworkers; alot of visual freedom; we were closed on sunday but they are now open on sunday

Cons

Poor management; After about a month, it was no longer a learning experience and interns were being treated as sales associates

Pros

Fun people to work with, good discount on clothing

Cons

Where do I begin? The beginning of my work experience for this company started off great, I loved coming to work, and I loved the people i worked with. Shortly after a few months i slowly came to the realization as to just how corrupt this company truly is. They expect employees to work overtime during holiday hours just to change window displays, floor sets, and mark downs. All within the week of Christmas. For a Christmas company they sure do make their employees work a lot instead of getting time with their families. The company also claims to "give back" when really it is all a show to make people buy their overpriced clothing. Only one percent of only Alta'rd State brand items give back, so a $100 dress, one dollar goes back to the community from that… Not to mention how convent their mission mondays, which is where they donate 10% of net profit on mondays goes to a local charity, is on a monday..The slowest day of the week. This company needs a huge turn around if they want to succeed before everyone realizes just how corrupt they are.
