Voicing a concern

Pros

The discount but in all honesty based off the prices it would be much appreciated if it was at least 50% off for items to wear to work.

Cons

I have contacted the job hotline numerous times and left several messages and never got a response. Ever since there was new management, the workers including myself have been miserable. An assistant manager, 5 brand reps, and 1 Key-holder have quit not too long after we got a new manager because the former manager was fired in January over something in August by not improving the store. It is her first time managing so it’s not the best. She talks to you in a condescending, passive aggressive way and when you’re not doing right she mentions it on the sales floor when there’s people around. Everyone has all expressed that so I am not the only one. Also, There should be an increase of pay for long term workers plus more hours like over 20 because there would be times where people wouldn’t be scheduled at all until they quit. I hope I finally get contacted after this serious concern.

There is a reason the score is so low

Pros

Wonderful co workers, beautiful (but cheap) product and stores, giving back to your community with paid volunteer work, discount and

Cons

This is not typical retail work. They keep managers at a salary pay so when you are forced to work over 40, which you will, they don't have to pay you more. It doesn't seem like a big deal until you consistently work 50-60 hours are make what a key holder makes. This company is unwilling to change or listen. Negative feedback given to help store processes will just be seen as laziness even if you are just trying to help. People are also constantly leaving at every level because they can no longer take the disorganized and toxic environment that this company creates.

Altar'd State Response

Thank you for your comment and feedback. We pride ourselves on creating a great place to work, however we recognize that we have opportunities to improve the associate and guest experience. Our hiring age is largely due to the hours required to work in a retail environment and is very consistent with retailers across the country. Aaron and the team founded the Company to stand out for good in the communities in which we live and work. Our goal of providing the best guest experience can only be achieved through our 1,300 associates. We are very thankful for them!
