Pros

Good benefits. All the overtime you want (if you can stand to work the hours they expect)

Cons

Management is a joke! They do not hire for jobs within the plant based on seniority or experience. Tend to let go experienced workers in exchange for temporary employees that don't receive benefits, etc.

Pros

Great benefits, pay scale improves rapidly within the first two years for hourly employees. Stable company with an abundance of work. Plenty of opportunities for advancement with proper motivation. Good hours on first shift.

Cons

Vacation time is pretty poor and there is no paid time off for sick days. Pay scale is just average, not great. Management is very much hands off, and at times unavailable altogether. But make time to enforce very petty rules.

Pros

Friendly management, full time work, lots to do, let employees buy scrap metal at a reduced cost, open environment to learn and grow as a beginning engineer

Cons

Somewhat grimy, steel workers union, Material staging is a nightmare, accidents often due to people not wearing their ppe, line supervisors not very involved in improvement
