Pros

Great Product, Enthusiastic Customers, Flexible Benefits

Cons

Basically everything else. Three rounds of layoffs over the past two years, several releases (and pull-backs) of Designer Cloud, the acquisition of Trifacta which ultimately didn’t improve the product or sped up development. Leadership (looking at Mark, Paula, Suresh and others) made exorbitant amounts of money while cutting jobs and tanking our stock price.

Pros

Salary is competitive, thats really about it

Cons

The leadership has managed to transform an industry leader into a company that will be lucky to be around in 5 years. Alteryx had everything going for them but poor leadership is taking the company into ruin

I appreciate you taking the time to talk about your experience here so far. Our executive team now includes leaders from top technology companies like Palo Alto Networks, SAP, and Adobe. These leaders know how to make an amazing company like Alteryx a household name. This will be a journey, but everything that Alteryx employees have built over the years means that we have the foundation we need to not only be around in 5 years, but to be a company that is turning heads. I hope you'll stick around for that, because it's going to be great. And as always, our success will depend upon responding to feedback and input like yours. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me, or to any member of the People and Culture team with feedback that we can help contextualize for our leaders as we chart the course ahead together. Thanks, David

Pros

There's some good people and some hires have been spot on as well. The passion of the award-winning community. Because of the chaos and lack of ownership there are opportunities to grow your skill set. Not ideal but you can step up into new responsibilities.

Cons

Disheartening that the cons are very similar throughout very different business functions as you see here. My thoughts: 1) The Dean Darwin debacle. This wasn't some inebriated high school or college kid that tweeted or put something out on TikTok. This was a grown man and supposed leader who shared his xenophobic views amidst a rash of anti-AAPI violence who posted on LinkedIn. The CEO who had been a colleague for some time ungracefully side-stepped his failure to assess Dean's character. Or it just didn't matter to him until he was forced to address it. 2) Promotions? This may as well happen on the Dark web, I haven't a clue what the process is. 3) Attrition. A lot of the good ones have left, and when you rush to fill those vacancies it's unavoidable to make some bad decisions. 4) The culture is non-existent or perhaps even toxic as some of those have said here. 5)Product suite becoming obsolete

Hi there and thank you for your candid feedback; given the opportunity that lies ahead of us - and how strongly we believe Alteryx is the right company to serve our customers in a world-class way, I'm sorry to hear that your experience here hasn't been living up to what you expect (and deserve). You mentioned that our award-winning community is a highlight here, and I agree, it's one of the things I'm most proud of about Alteryx. And the reason it's top-notch is the collaboration and feedback that we see there where our customers come together to help each other and solve some of the toughest challenges. In that spirit, I'd like to offer time to connect at your convenience - I'd be grateful for the opportunity to hear more and see where I can help personally with the areas of opportunity you see. Thanks, David
