Pros

There are a lot of really kind and talented people at Altium, and the work is interesting. There are always alot of interesting projects, and there tends to be a lot of opportunity for growth for the right people. If you have a good manager, and there are many, it is a great place to work. Benefits are very good.

Cons

The new CEO has brought a culture of top-down micromanagement, and employees are evaluated by how much time they spend at their desks rather than the quality of their work. And yes he walks around and checks. It has become a culture where people are scared to make a decision. And the only thing that matters is cost-cutting.

The Folks on the floor getting the work done are great. Some managers are good.

Cons

Only people who kiss butt get promotions, Knowledge gets you nowhere. Doesn't matter how much you know just how far up someone's butt you go. Don't go here and think knowledge will get you anywhere.
