I was a remote working mother with a disability that was made known. I got along well with my first manager, a female and things went rather smoothly. My second manager, who was male, nearly immediately started complaining about my work quality dating back to loans several months prior when he was not my manager. In the meantime, a new peer joined my team when it didn't seem necessary given the workload. I began to suspect he wanted me out. Around that time, I went on a PIP but there were never any qualitative metrics to help me make the necessary improvements. My disability impacts my ability to take real-time notes, so I asked to record our video calls which he declined. He then complained when I took notes during our conversations. Furthermore both he and his boss (my first boss, who was promoted) told me that I needed to choose between my career and motherhood. This firm is discriminatory towards remote working mothers and workers with disabilities, in my opinion. Look elsewhere if you fit those categories.
