Pay isn't the best, Promotion depends on the team and organization

*Pay and benefits aren't very competitive compared to other FAANG companies, with the stock downturn last year everyone is taking a pay cut. *There are some deeply toxic management traits in at least 1/3 of managers. Even if the person you directly report to is good the sh*t rolls downhill and will eventually impact you in some way. *They refuse to backfill positions for the last year or so, which leads to work only piling up as managers refuse to reduce the total work cadence. *Return to Office is universally disliked but the execs are forcing it down everyone's throats regardless. They seem excessively rigid about it, almost purposely not working with people that they hired during lockdowns. *They hire a LOT of H-1B workers. While maybe not unusual for the tech space I've had several coworkers confess to me that they are underpaid compared to other employees. *Even though they won't hire new people in the US they're more than happy to hire contractors or new employees in developing nations like China/India/Mexico/etc.
