Pros

If you're terrible at what you do and you're looking for a place to hide, Amentum is the place for you! No leadership, no direction, no money, and no idea what they're doing. The current owners want to go public, and everything else has taken a back seat, including culture, accountability, productivity, and professionalism.

Cons

AECOM spun off their lowest performing section in 2019 which became Amentum. The owners who bought them then bought two other established companies, DynCorp and PAE, and merged the 3. Unfortunately they let the Amentum employees run the show despite being unqualified, and in a few short months they have chased all of the good talent out the door with terrible management, unprofessional behavior, zero direction and zero accountability for the above. Now morale is extremely low throughout the company, there is no culture, and anyone decent has already left or is leaving.

Pros

Great pay for the amount of work we do.

Cons

Let's start with the fact that I work side by side with Navy, we are under contract for them. Currently, Navy has sent their people home and broken it down to as little individuals as possible. After our "outside forces" were approached with a great plan on how to break people down AND allow them to get paid, they were immediately shut down. We are currently being called "essential" but when we BEGGED for overtime during the holidays or asked to come in on snowy days we were informed that we were not essential. Now, more than ever, while there is a pandemic going on and lives are at risk you would think we would be sent home right, WRONG! All of a sudden we have become essential. They are so tight fisted with money that has already been put down but hate the idea of handing it out unless there is work to show for. Which I totally understand, but we are not asking for a handout, we are asking for our lively hood during this time. No one should have to pick between their life or their income!! On top of that the managers are bullies who will intimidate you if they find out you called HR. We have been told after a shooting at the work center to "get over it if you're feeling upset", we have been threatened with our jobs constantly being told walmart is hiring and anyone would fill our shoes at the drop of the dime. There is nothing like 'Employee of the month' or any sense of "thank you" considering our jobs consist of keeping pilots alive by looking over these aircrafts. How has no one come and investigated us yet with all these calls to HR and the turn around rate for new people is ridiculous. We see new people all the time and no one ever really stays that long. I could go on but just DON'T! They pay is great but you will probably lose your soul there.

Pros

None that seem to be helpful.

Cons

-Overwork hard workers, keep lazy workers for long time, tolerance for lazy complainers, very poor unprofessional management. -Pay is minimal and depending on what contract your working on, the company doesn't seem to value their employees. -Corporate is horrible. Particularly HR. No help with anything except their agenda. Time off calculations is still messed up. -When hired, they are not helpful to get you situated at your desk/office. You're sent to the office and have to figure out things on your own. -This is not a permanent or long-lasting contract job. When hired, I was not informed that their client will end the job by the end of 2024. -After asked if my position will be reassigned, I'm told I have to look for other positions on my own. I applied to several within the company, no one contacted me. The positions no longer available in the area. I contacted the hiring manager but no response after several weeks. -When the hard-to-find announcement was made, the higher ups were stalling for an excuse, The director for all contractors leaves the company. That's like when a ship is sinking, the captain is the first to jump ship! -No awards or announcements for people doing a job above and beyond expectations. -Morale is bad so no one is doing their tickets.
