Pros

Flight Benefits! You get to travel to fantastic places and see the world. Health benefits were also pretty low cost compared to other companies.

Cons

It is a very elitist culture. If you don't have an MBA from a Top Ten school you will be treated like a red headed stepchild and your Advancement opportunities will be limited. Your experience is not valued, only where you went to school. MBAs get frequent promotions while the people with experience have to watch and not participate. Managing Directors openly criticize the union employees in meetings, very unprofessional. MBA managers share limited information with employees as they feel threatened that lower level employees will know more than they do.

Pros

Travel perks and the recognition of working for the largest airline in the world. Coworkers are generally great people who really care about the quality of their work.

Cons

Management leads by fear and not by motivation. The travel passes are only good for flights where there is room for employees and with all the downsizing it's getting harder and harder.

Pros

Little if any overtime, flight privileges are ok (used to be better), pay great if you are an MBA, Dallas has low cost of living compared to other cities

Cons

If you are hired as an MBA you are fine; if not, you are not fine. There's a definite 'them and us' mentality which is constantly perpetuated through salary, promotions etc. Prior experience is not valued, but going to the right school is - the better the name the better your prospects. Work not usually complex and expectations are low. Plus, the airline industry doesn't exactly have the best prospects going forward.
