Pros

The hours are flexible, but be prepared to work long hours in order to be successful. They offer great retirement benefits, medical is ok, but rather expensive. They do not offer dental insurance. They provide thorough training and the opportunity for advancement is great if you are a male.

Cons

Lack of promotion opportunities for women. Hard to balance work/life if you are a single parent. The job requires collection of premiums and writing new business. If you are a workaholic, then this would probably be the job for you. Most agents have to work seven days per week and 10-12 hours per day to have any success.
