You learn a good bit of everything in the IT field

Cons

Dont expect fair compensation and be ready to report to managers from all departments who have zero knowledge of what IT is. Glass ceilings, be prepared to impress EVERYONE in the building before you get any kind of consideration for a raise. Also be ready for that raise to take a while based on how they promote people.
