Amerit Fleet Solutions is a perfect example of a company that has no business in the automotive repair world, and for a company that "believes" in team work they sure do know how to make the most valuable team players feel unappreciated.
The company has no real idea of what goes into diagnosing and repairing a vehicle. They have no true understanding of the diagnosis process and believe a "fault code" means faulty part every time. I mean why would you fix the vehicle right the first time when you can have it come back two or three times for the same issue? Maybe they enjoy the extra work, job security I guess.
Communication is another big issue at the location I worked at. No one knows whats going on, who is doing what, or where and when parts are coming in. You can explain one thing to one individual and then forced to do it again to another because the other person failed to relay any of it.
Another area I find interesting is the high turn over rate in the front office, I mean the office staff is like a border check point, they come in throw some papers around and leave. This company rewards the incompetent employees and fails to reward or at least acknowledge the ones that keep everything going behind the scenes.
I cant say this company has no standards, because that would be lying. It has very low standards, they preach quality and attention to detail but they fail to open their eyes to the real problem areas. Best way to describe it would be to put a band aid on a bullet hole wound.
Benefits are really not that great, the pay is moderate, the reimbursement for tests and training is a long annoying process that takes up to much time and makes it not even worth it.
If you are in a jam and in need of a job this place will do, just don't expect to retire from this company, or really don't plan on anything more then the day your working cause your not promised tomorrow.
