I wish you could share more specific 'cons' of working here. And, I wish you had done so while here. Feedback is not only appreciated, but necessary. Every organization has opportunities. But, we might not see or be aware of them - and, that is on us. Please be sure to speak up with your next employer. The voice of the employee is so important in defining/redefining our environment. I am sorry your time with us was not good. I wish you all the best.

Sustaining...Not Growing

Pros

Coop program. If you need a year or two of job experience on your resume, this is a good place to start. We do have some big name customers that look good on a resume. Niche market; but, limited growth.

Cons

Not a place to learn or apply new technologies. The potential to bring in new tech, new ideas, new anything is nil. Very much driven by the P&L which leads to little or no investment in capital. Any investment would impact the exorbitant bonuses offered ONLY to upper management. There is also a lack of connection between departments - everyone seems to have their own goals, but they don't all align - so, communication is extremely difficult & strained. And, there is absolutely no communication from the top down - no engagement, no recognition and little interaction between the 'upstairs' and 'downstairs' employees. No defined core values, vision or mission statements. Extremely low 'merit' raises that are not connected to goals - primarily budgetary related. LOTS of paper & no method of organizing the 'paper'. Are more inclined to outsource production than improve production. This is due to lack of any sort of organizational/employee development strategy.

I have seen a lot of positive changes since January 2018. I attribute much of it to new employees - they are bringing fresh ideas, thoughts about technology, new approaches/strategies and more. We are not averse to learning. And, I would welcome a confidential conversation - my door is always open. And, I too, am so very proud of our Coop program and the relationship we have created with Northeastern. This year, I reached out to UMLowell to expand our program. Again, please do not hesitate to come chat with me.

Pros

Great place to start your career. People are for the most part very nice and willing to help. Lay back environment, no micromanaging.

Cons

Low pay and very little opportunity for advancement.
