A terrible experience

Pros

Very process driven and operationally competent which made driving a project through the agency easier and more efficient than some agencies. The work can be interesting and there are some talented people to learn from.

Cons

For a company that spends so much time talking about culture as a means for brands to connect with audiences they've completely failed to nurture their own. Leadership is toxic, employee mental health and wellbeing are merely words on an award submission. There is no substance behind the promise of a great place to work. There is no training, no support or teamwork, the hours are long and benefits are the absolute base level allowance . The business is extremely top heavy with more egos than leadership skills. It wouldnt be tolerated in a larger corporation but in a small privately run agency management can run free of accountability and the toxicity permeates through the rest of the business. I left the business exhausted, broken and with low self esteem. I saw many talented people around me unsupported, under appreciated and overworked leave the business in a similar state. A truly horrific experience, I still have nightmares about it.

Pros

None, terrible place to work. If you like being in a toxic environment then maybe this is the place for you.

Cons

The management team doesn’t bring any value to the company and have clearly made it there through their links and friendships. There were a couple of cases of bullying during my time there. It’s also the type of environment where they expect you to stay late everyday. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
