      Pros

      The best part about Amplify was always extreme flexibility for one's schedule, so it would be a good place for young contracted workers or people expecting to take family leave. For anyone interested in helping their careers grow, this is not the place for innovation.

      Cons

      This used to be a very optimistic company that had a lot to say about vision for transforming the education of america, but since its drastic downsizing, the general atmosphere among employees has been one of mild discontent and quiet self depreciation. The leadership was always very self serving, but since it has been focused on survival rather than growth.

      Pros

      Great location; working with a group of talented people to help students do better; the company is moving all product to AWS so lots of opportunities to try and learn; great flexibilty on work hours

      Cons

      Snacks are not so good; not too many lunch options in dumbo; Have to deal with some legacy system which are not fun

      Pros

      My experience at Amplify has been amazing. I work with some of the most accomplished and motivated colleagues of my career. The company is run by people who recognize talent. The work we do is truly innovative and important. The variety of disciplines that make up product teams is unlike anywhere I’ve ever worked. The opportunity to make an impact on the world is real. And the day to day is fun and flexible.

      Cons

      The company has taken some time to find focus. (Happy to say that in past perfect.)
