      Benefits, retirement, travel passes, and decent decent pay

      Cons

      Upper management says they rely on safety but the only thing they care about is getting the trains departed on time. For lower management if manpower is short you are expected to do your job and everyone who works under you. If you don’t finish on time you get reprimanded.

      Tons of downtime. Most jobs only take 2-3 hours to complete so not a heavy workload!

      Cons

      Atmosphere in the shop is miserable. Union Board members and brothers alike will rat you out in a minute just looking for an “attaboy”. It’s best to stick to yourself and give nobody any information or insight in your daily life.
