      Pros

      Overall a good company pay and benefit wise. Usual BS as far as gripes about upper management, but that is everywhere. Usually a fun job!

      Cons

      When you're first hired, don't count on having any type of predictable schedule or life for that matter. Everything is seniority based, takes a while to get a schedule, let alone one that you desire.

      Management is messy and will sleep around to gain positions Employees are all in high school Call center treats u like a slave... on the travel side

      Pros

      The pay is better than average and the employees are nice and work hard. Amtrak tries to be fair on all matters and is constantly updating their policies to stay up with the times.

      Cons

      This company is too political and even more so now. They are light years behind in technology and have begun a crusade to cut costs by getting rid of the pension plan and gutting employee medical insurance.
