Pros
Performance is recognized and rewarded. Teams collaborate in a productive and professional manner mostly. Pay is very good. Benefits are good. Some work locations are fairly nice.
Cons
Amtrak lost most of its best upper management with early retirement offered during workforce reduction during the pandemic. The people brought onboard to replace that management were not experienced in the industry and weren’t a good fit. Lots of bad policies resulted.
