Declining company

Pros

Pay is pretty good, benefits are okay but not the best.

Cons

New executive team are not concerned about employees well being. Anaplan went from being a workplace that provided flexibility and good work / life balance to the exact opposite. They laid off over 140 people and expect all their new initiatives to be done yesterday with less staff. Looking forward to finding my next opportunity outside of this company and will not come back.

Culture is taking a turn for the worst

Pros

Decent pay Great collaboration among colleagues Solid benefits package Flexibility

Cons

Management was great prior to the acquisition. The new leadership team lacks diversity (all white and mostly all male), cultural competency and seem to only care about profit, not employees. Profitability is important but employees are being sacrificed. The culture is changing hard and fast.

Anaplan Response

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Collaboration and flexibility are fundamental to our culture, so it’s great to hear that that has been your experience at Anaplan. The shift in the SaaS industry from “growth at all costs” to sustainable growth and profitability is one we take seriously to protect our company, our customers and partners, and of course, our employees. Operational efficiency and effectiveness are part of our strategy to achieve this, and so is building a winning culture that drives collaboration, inclusion and belonging. The Executive Committee and I remain committed to our DE&I goals, and we are working closely with numerous teams and partners to keep moving the needle. We look forward to sharing more with employees soon about how we’ll build on Anaplan’s existing DE&I strategy. We just launched new initiatives where employees play a central role in evolving our culture. We are also creating more opportunities for our employees to connect and collaborate. Feedback is integral to achieving this, so I encourage you to share your ideas and concerns with your manager, EC member, HRBP, or directly to me. - Carey Pellock, Chief People Officer

Pros

Great product. Very smart and talented colleagues. Get to do a lot of cool projects and see your impact at the company.

Cons

No training, no support, no recognition. Long work hours & a lot of last minute projects from management with little to no planning. Often times false promise employees about promotion and raise. High turnover rate with people leaving around 1 year mark. VERY QUESTIONABLE executives and upper management - very "my way or the highway" approach to management.
