The company's once vibrant culture, characterized by innovation and customer-centricity, has suffered under the new leadership. Thoma Bravo's relentless pursuit of profitability at any cost has resulted in a destructive shift away from prioritizing the needs and satisfaction of customers. The acquisition has seen a disregard for the core values that once defined Anaplan, with a focus solely on short-term financial gains. This shortsighted approach has led to a neglect of the company's product development and innovation, undermining its ability to meet the evolving needs of its users. Furthermore, the emphasis on profitability above all else has fostered an environment where employee morale and engagement have plummeted. The erosion of the once-strong company culture has left many disillusioned and disheartened, leading to talent attrition and further exacerbating the company's challenges. In conclusion, Thoma Bravo's stewardship of Anaplan has been marked by a detrimental disregard for the company's culture and customers.       Excellent product if your simply looking to replace MS-Excel.

      Pros

      Overall the product itself is excellent if you are simply looking to build an MS-Excel spreadsheet in the cloud while collaborating with other users. It has a multi-dimensional component to it as well that replaces the difficulty of pivot tables.

      Cons

      The Apps on their App Exchange have no real best practices or capabilities built into them. Your kind of back to the basics of building a real solution from the ground up ever time. The reporting is terrible with a significant lack of visualizations. There is also a lack of audit tracking - once you change something you loose it. No effective dating.

      Pros

      Anaplan should value more their best attribute: People. I´ve never worked in a place where people are so willing to help and share their expertise so you can progress.

      Cons

      Some of the line managers reflect the behavior of the "So-called" leaders. Lack of empathy and any form of emotional intelligence. From the CPO, who must be the most robotic person in HR ever to the CEO, a meeting whisperer that could perfectly be a character in "Succession".
