Pros

Product and vision are top-notch, truly transformational technology. The addressable market is huge The greater ecosystem like Deloitte and others are all getting on board quickly Once at an account, it grows like wildfire

Cons

Can't break into accounts quickly enough, and each rep has too few accounts. Less than 10% of reps made their number last year A ton of management turnover in the last 18 months People are underpaid when stacked up against the market rates Questionable hiring decisions, the company would rather take someone cheaper than someone good.

Exciting Times

Pros

Growth continues to be exciting as the company continues to add global 2000 companies to its list of customers. The platform is basically setting completely new boundaries and is really changing the game in all areas of planning and collaborative decision-making. Continue to bring on super smart people that are genuinely nice and good to work with. Anaplan did VERY well to get such a high-caliber CEO (Frank) who ran Fortune 500s and is a genuinely nice guy focused on both growing the company, but treating its people well.

Cons

As I am based in a satellite office, it's harder to get the buzz of some of the larger offices within Anaplan. There have been frequent re-orgs, but I think that's to be expected with the growth and with new leadership.

Losing Focus on The Prize

Pros

International Office Location Global Customer list With the turnover, there are lots of senior roles available

Cons

This company is completely messed up. While people with direct customer contact are having to cancel vacations to help customers others are able to take 2-3 weeks without blinking an eye. Jack and Jills get promoted to roles and never have to deliver anything that will help the company reach revenue or customer satisfaction targets before they move to a new role, or go on an extra long vacation which they flaunt while others cancel theirs for the good of the company. Not to mention title inflation for political savvy individuals. They are also good at building random teams which confuse the customer and don't add value
