A good place to work

Pros

It sometimes verged on a great place but never made it. Paid very well. Good benefits package. Lots of smart coworkers

Cons

Lots of progress over the years but In the early years respect for the customers was definitely missing. Semi-shady business practices with surprise auto-renewals. Much more straightforward now. Management didn't seem to have much respect for everyone below them.

Pros

Ancestry is a great place to work. Pay is awesome. Lots of opportunity to learn new things and grow. Many of the other engineers are rock stars. Great work/life balance. For example, usually on days before holidays I'm chased out by my manager early.

Cons

Not really a con but most people think that Ancestry is owned by the LDS church so I get that a lot.
