Pros

You work from home Monday-Friday and have bank holidays. Plenty of company incentives for high performance sales. Ability to accrue some serious vacation time. Positive Attitude at all times is essential for success. Sales stack in the pay period. 4-6 approved sales in a pay period will net you a solid commission check. The company is actively trying to improve their customer relations and training practices.

Cons

You must graduate the sales training program in the first 90 days or you will be terminated. Majority of calls will be cold calls. Hang-up or Signup mentality at all times. Several calls were linked to duplicate accounts that may be under another reps name. Make on average 200-300 calls a day. Sales must be approved to count for commission. Some accounts that you are required to pitch will pay you next to nothing and do not count towards the point based system for sales. For example if you make 5 pending sales in a pay period of two weeks and only one of them is approved for 1.6 points you are still required to achieve another 2.4 points in that two week period. Sales can be bounced back for a number of reasons. This can include bad license, out of date insurance, background check didn't pass, bad payment option, no funds on payment option, the business name doesn't match on the llc, or the onboarding rep doesn't call the service professional before they are charged for leads. The potential for outside factors to affect your income is high. Tenured reps receive the best leads exclusively though this is subject to change into the next year. You are expected to close each sale in about 20 minutes. My best advice, do not start during the fourth quarter of the year. Best time for new reps is after the new year and spring.

Pros

- Work from home when I did it during the pandemic, sounded like they planned on keeping it that way - Uncapped commission - Friendly work environment - Not extremely hard work

Cons

Repetitive and mind numbing making 200-300 COLD calls a day to a client list that pulls randomly and is unvetted, majority of the time I was unable to get anyone on the phone but if I was then they already knew about our product because someone from our company has called them 2-3 times a week for months... Made it harder to convert because instead of no opinion, potential customers had a negative opinion from the jump. Commissions are uncapped, but expect to make thousands of calls a week and be really lucky if you get a handful of conversations. Some people hear you out but it's all cold calls, so not a whole lot of that.

Thank you for your feedback! Sales does require a lot of time on the phone and we do recognize that this is not for everyone. Thank you for your time here at Angi, and best of luck in your future endeavors!
