there's no transparency from upper management/ c-suite. Lower level employees often feel like cogs in a wheel and there's really no oppotunities for career growth. They say they want to be on the same level as Netflix and Amazon but there's no investment in the people outside of random mass firings and then moving all of the former Handy employees to the top. As a female, it took me constantly asking for a raise and a law in CO requiring females be paid equal to their male counterparts to finally earn what I was worth. The company has surveys that talk about employee satisfaction but they never really take any action on it and always wonder why people are leaving of their own accord but never ask unhappy employees what the company can do to make them stay.
What made the company great when I started has been taken (aka no more "fun Fridays" with food and drinks, no more Fedex Fridays where people got to work on something that interested them). We went from PTO that was take what you need to everything being tracked, making a lot of people feel guilty for taking vacations or days off.
