Pros

Selling world class mega brands for the highest share beer company in the world pretty much guarantees an audience with the customer. Access to an abundance of resources, home office, company car, decent benefits. Pretty well organized and buttoned up company, communication of expectations and responsibilities was a strong point.

Cons

Simply put, everyone gets the sense that people aren't valued at ABI. Employees are treated as if they aren't trusted to do their jobs, and hence a lot of unnecessary internal administrative busy work gets piled on. Sales people are put under an unhealthy amount of pressure and not compensated. Seasoned sales people are leaving or have already left. The company over values college graduates from prestigious schools, who get placed into higher level jobs and add little value, eventually flounder, or use the company as stepping stone to move on. Sales people still need to be salespeople. You can't send a duck to eagle school as they say.

Bad company to work long term

Pros

A lot of potential for growth at a price, pay is better starting off but at a price.

Cons

There is room for growth but it's all politics. It's basically who cut the most corners to get the results that upper management wanted(at plant and corporate level). Pay is good but benefits suck and they work you till you drop. Your expected to be oncall but they don't provide you with a company phone; you use your personal cell. Expect to work 50+ hours a week and weekends and no form of compensation if your management. Upper management says that they want you to do the right thing all the time but when comes down to it always about production and hitting numbers and very little on quality, just enough to get bye. No accountability when comes down to it. Just pointing fingers and nothing ever really gets fix. The same problems reoccur all the time and upper management acts like it's the first time they heard of it. I was hired and let go within the same year because of sales and I was management. They can't even count there own money.

Challenging culture

Pros

Flexible work hours and work from home is a nice perk. Another nice perk is receiving two cases of beer per month.

Cons

Annual raises are very rare and not given to many employees. The targets for bonuses are set unrealistically high so naturally bonuses pay out very low. Vendors are not treated very well and the company makes them wait for payment for 120 days. The culture is tough and many people are unhappy. Many good, hard-working employees are leaving in droves. Young, highly educated employees are valued much more than an experienced employees.
