Pros

Free beer No accountability if you're a slacker. If you play the game, are under 30 and play "blind" to what goes on you may go far.

Cons

Too many to list. They like to push out older employees with new, inexperienced under 30s. One method is to make them miserable so they quit or even more devious...they try to fabricate or trump up charges of "misconduct" ...whatever they can do to not have to pay unemployment. They even falsify timecards so they don't have to pay overtime. I've never worked for a company so arrogant or uncaring...all the while preaching in their indoctrination cheerleading meetings "One team, one dream". They change sales goals in the middle of program, sometimes not even notifying the sales reps. This happened once where vacation trips and airline vouchers were to be awarded and 4 guys had made the original goals, but with the change none of the guys won anything. Talk about lowering morale. This is the kind of stuff that goes on. The people they bring in to manage are always from some other AB location, never local and they have no idea how to manage, let alone operate a business. They pit people against each other and only care about meeting their budget. Most of the upper Escalon are Brazilian, so many things that come down from headquarters are not worded properly or have grammatical errors. There are posters and such hanging in the office that were noted to have obvious errors and when headquarters was notified for corrections the department was told to print them and hang then anyway. How's that for professional standards?

Pros

Free beer once a month.

Cons

For some reason my original review got removed? - Little concern for employees below middle management; was a great company before the take-over - lack of common sense and long term outlook...InBEV way is the ONLY way, right or wrong. - more work, less pay, less benefits - lack of ethics (end justifies the means, the "end" usually being money or one's own behind) - Lack of loyalty to the custom is appalling. Example: No longer give credits when beer is not delivered. Management stated "It's our word against theirs." - excessive meetings and busy work rather than focusing on actual work - management that is green and has less knowledge than the people they manage - no promotions from within, they bring in very green, young AB employees from around the country and put in management positions Recipe for promotion = under 30yr old + BS degree + alternative or ethnic background + cutthroat + "grey" ethics - water to building shut off (and other utilities) because they didn't pay bill - no bathroom or water for hours - cut janitorial hours, now restrooms run out of paper & soap, employees have to empty their own garbage, including 10 gallon bins in some departments - no "team" feel, you're on your own; teach employees to say "that's not my job" instead of helping each other - preach simplicity, but make what-used-to-be simple processes exceedingly difficult - will only hire people with degrees (doesn't matter what kind) with NO experience, but turn away someone with years of experience in the industry and area market - virtually no HR department; all issues are required you call an 800# - Lost dozens of accounts in area - took away IT person (we have over 150 computers and laptops), but hired a full-time "safety manager" who has nothing to do - makes bizarre, nonsensical cutbacks, but spends frivolously on other things for example ...awarded an employee an iPad for literally cleaning his file cabinet and spent hundreds of dollars on motivational framed posters, plastic plants, and a trendy pain job to the interior office, but cut janitorial services; made drivers return to distributor after 10 hours no matter if they delivered all beer or not (didn't want overtime) which resulted in angry accounts, backlog of undelivered beer and MORE time needed next day; took away water coolers and coffee machine - will lie to pacify complaints or concerns, always told "we're working on it".

Pros

Good wages and benefits. Great union support.

Cons

Since InBev took over this American iconic company, they've turned it into a profit sucking machine at the expense of it's product integrity and it's hourly employees. The most simple and mundane task can't be accomplished without forming a committee and holding dozens of meetings. The managers are kids right out of college who know nothing of how to engage and motivate people. They fail to understand that we, as long term hourly employees, are the experts. Most of us have learned and forgotten more than they will ever know about our jobs. Things would run much smoother if they would simply get out of our way and allow us to do our jobs. This once proud company is only concerned with their zero-based budgeting. From the plant manager to the lowest floor supervisor, their budget is all that matters. This obsession is more important than the quality of the product. Anheuser-Bush InBev is nothing short of a multi national house of card waiting to either collapse or be broken up into pieces and sold.
