Pros

You'll have more responsibilities than you're qualified for because there is not enough people and everyone is new.

Cons

Long hours because they won't hire enough people. The bonus is well below what they will promise. It's a big frat house atmosphere of all men. The Brazilian management doesn't understand the U.S. Market at all

Pros

Most co-workers are helpful and fun to work with

Cons

Glass ceilling for Americans Unrealistic KPIs set by zone president lead to no/low bonuses Leadership is awful from Senior Management ... It is not a core value The company espouses "Open, Honest & Transparent" ... It is anything but! Employees are still paying for executives kids to go to fancy schools past company set timeframe. No honesty, and lots of decisions made behind closed doors. Zone Managers in many cases are not he'd to the same accountability standards even though they deliver poor results repeatedly Legally - I assume - but unethically, the organization has systematically eliminated most older, married with kids, female and minority employees .... It is shocking someone hasn't at least tried to sue. Commercial turnover was over 30% last year You can be a super star one year and out the next ... All it takes it one bad manager that is "connected" More than 70% of all employees are paid BELOW market rate, and only 25% receive a base pay increase in any given year

Pros

People are great...in spite of all the pressure they face on a daily basis. Beer can be a great, fun business! Opportunities for upper management exposure are available. Great place to start, hit the ground running and then move on to a better workplace. External perception of ABI is high, so it is a great resume builder.

Cons

Long hours are pretty much the norm, 65-70 hours a week. It dilutes compensation pretty quick. Managers are known to send emails after 8PM expecting a report or presentation for first thing in the AM. Very high marketing turnover. Company manages to lose or dismiss great people with fantastic ease. Low morale. Bonuses are never given at face value. New, inexperienced MBAs are being hired to replace experienced managers. Pretty unfair to them and to the entire system. Company needs both. Upper management struggles to find a solution to declining sales for leading brands - Budweiser and Bud Light. Current marketing VP is bright, but has no previous experience in the US market...and it is showing; and everyone is paying for it. Constant shifting of direction around big decisions. During October high-end beer team was going to Chicago and during December is everyone going to NYC. Seems like the vast majority of those promoted at the very top must have a link to Brazil or to Belgium.
