Lack of investment in their people

Pros

Remote-first set up, Unlimited PTO, some clients were great and most teammates were wonderful people.

Cons

As an employee at Ansira I often felt like their biggest concern is having the right headcount. Not whether people are a good fit, or have a title that fits their level. Across the board many felt undervalued. The leadership is either brand new to the company and have no clue how to improve it or have been there 15+ years and are settled in their ways and see no need to evolve. During my 6 years of employment there were 5/6 CEOs - not comforting. The pay is insultingly low, mixed with last-minute policy changes that are communicated on the day increase discussions are meant to happen. In addition the path for growth was very limited - often only when others left the company would there be a possibility for promotion and even then roles would sometimes be unfilled or consolidated. Worst of all there is lackluster training or support when one becomes a manager, and little support when there are issues down the chain of command. This leads to high turnover and burn-out rates, causing people who might otherwise add to the company’s success to leave for somewhere more stable.
